Duties & Responsibilities Profile:

The Pricing Specialist is heavily involved in the Pricing Decision & Approval Process in the region. The processes he/she will be involved in include, but are not limited to the following:

* Handling competitive sales prices applied for, for customers within EMEA within allocated business organisations, in such manner that the technical sales representatives can offer customers correct prices in time, that order processes run efficiently and that the corresponding instructions applying are observed.

* Manage price-movements in cooperation with Regional Pricing Managers and Businesses.

* Establish & maintain list-prices in Excel & SAP, making them available and updating them for allocated business organisations and products with currencies used in EMEA countries, in such manner that complete and correct price information is available at all times, that the order process runs efficiently, and that the corresponding instructions applying are observed

* Analysis of Pricing for specified product ranges and/or customers to follow regional pricing strategies based on market knowledge and other sources of information.

* Participate in global and regional projects, implement process improvements.

Personality profile:

The Pricing Specialist is involved in communication between Sales, BO's, Logistics, and Customer Services and also cross regional, on Pricing Management subjects. As such, the Pricing Specialist must understand Eastman's Pricing Strategies,  Execution Processes and Policies, have initiative, be independent and be able to co-ordinate the efforts of other Eastman personnel to meet company objectives.

Educational & Experience Profile:

HBO level. Experience in the field of finance, customer services, international distribution and the chemical industry is desirable.

Capabilities Profile:

Language skills include English fluency and working knowledge of other European languages is desirable. The Pricing Specialist must have strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of levels of personnel across multiple cultures. A solid understanding of international business processes, logistic flows, terms and conditions, as well as the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and eye for detail is required. Experience with ERP systems and solid Excel skills are required.

Assignment Profile:

The Pricing Specialist is expected to function in a team environment, be able to work well in a matrix structure, and be flexible with regards to the work structure.  An appreciation and acceptance of a multi-cultural environment is required. An expectation for long term employment exists.
