Financial Accountant

Algemene omschrijving

• You will report to the leader of the Rotterdam office;
• You will be responsible for the day to day accounting and the preparation of the monthly and quarterly reports for group reporting and the yearly statutory accounts of all entities under your control;
• You work on understanding and documenting the nature and building support files for cross charges from group companies.
• You will be responsible for the Balance Sheet and Income Statement analyses and reconciliation of the sub ledgers and suspense accounts;
• You will provide the leader with financial analysis to be presented in board meetings;
• You will work on understanding and documenting differences between Dutch GAAP, IFRS, any applicable foreign GAAP and tax accounting;
• You will support/participate in projects to further professionalise the Dutch office;
• You will support internal and external audits;
• You will make sure the companies under your control are meeting all compliance requirements, both internal and external like SOX-compliance;
• You will prepare the input for tax declarations.

Gestelde eisen

• You have a bachelor or master degree in the finance or accounting area;
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a multi-national accounting environment or big four audit company;
• You have developed solid IFRS accounting knowledge;
• You have good knowledge and interest in IT systems and especially in Excel and SAP reports and master data structures;
• You are creative, change oriented and focused on support systems and process development;
• You are a proven team player;
• You speak and write fluent English;
• You are service minded and committed to meet deadlines;
• You are a self starter;
• You like to develop yourself and keep updated on changed standards, legislation and requirements;
• You aim to deliver against the highest quality standards.
