Master Production Scheduler

As a production unit our vision is to supply products to our customers on time, in the right quantity and quality whilst minimising the inventory value that we carry. We also strive to introduce innovative, new materials to our markets quickly and manage the older products that are reaching the end of their product life cycle. As such, the supply chain specialist roles will play a crucial in achieving this vision with interaction with functions including production, procurement, suppliers, QC and warehouse/logistics within the Arkel facility as well as day-to-day contact with our Sales Units across the group.

As we rollout the Centre of Excellence Concept, the Supply Chain Specialists will assume supply chain responsibility for their materials on a European level.

There will be three Supply Chain Specialists responsible for the following product groups: 

• PU Foams (Arkel Produced)
• Mastics and Adhesives (Arkel Produced)
• Resale Materials.

Responsibility for planning of finished goods and raw materials specific to their product group: 

• Carrying out of daily, weekly and monthly tasks to ensure on-time, in-full shipments to our customers whilst minimising inventory
• Responsibilities to ensure our customers are always aware of any issues that could negatively impact their orders, in conjunction with Customer Service Team.
• Co-ordination with Procurement in case of supply issues from Third Party Suppliers to minimise any disruption to supply to our customers
• Continuous improvement of planning process and tools, including implementation of planning systems such as KANBAN, VMI, Collaborative Planning
• Continuous tracking and monitoring of supply and demand situation to maintain optimum balance of inventory and service level
• Management of incoming goods (raw materials, packaging and resale items) including Purchase Order creation, tracking and expediting.
• Maintenance of clean item, vendor and customer master data within the Arkel Navision system. In the case of item data, they are also responsible for maintaining clean data of CoE Arkel materials in all SU Navision systems across the group

Product Life Cycle (New Product Introduction, Packaging Changes, Product Retirement)

• Co-ordinates the process of new material introduction between sales, R&D, Labelling Arkel, Group Packaging Cologne to ensure timely and correct introduction of materials.
• Continuous monitoring of slow-moving and ageing material in conjunction with the Supply Chain Supervisor and Sales Units and agreement of actions to dispose of stock in a timely manner to maximise value to Ti.
• Active Management of Product Portfolio and removal of items which should no longer be part of the portfolio

 

European Supply Chain responsibility for their product group

• Lead by the Supply Chain Supervisor, the specialist will be part of the team to implement the CoE Supply Chain Concept across all EU warehouses (eg. France, Sweden, Finland, UK, East Europe). This transfers responsibility for planning and procurement to the CoE Arkel.
• After implementation, the specialist assumes the same responsibility for service level and inventory for their group of materials at all stock-keeping locations in Europe.
• Close co-operation with local Sales Unit personnel to continuously optimise inventory levels and supply chain setup
• Responsibility for re-vectoring inventory between locations to prevent ageing/obsolete material or resolving short-term supply issues at a particular location

 Change Management

• Management of all changes related to their product group to ensure that they are carried out in a timely manner with no negative impact to our customers. Such changes include but are not limited to:

1. New Product Introduction
2. Label and Packaging Changes
3. Change of Supplier(s) or Supply Chain Structures

 

 

 

Gestelde eisen

We are looking for candidates with a bachelor degree within logistics. You need to have working experience within a Factory environment and min 2 years in supply chain / planning positions.

Computer knowledge: Excel, Word, ERP System (preferable Navision) 

Language skills:Dutch, English (business language), prefer another language (French, east Europe)
