Algemene omschrijving
As Process Safety Engineer you will be responsible for helping to implement the new corporate process safety standards, as well as ensuring that the Rozenburg Plants remain fully-compliant with national and European regulations. You will be embedded within the process engineering team, but with strong interactions with the Safety Department, SIL Assessment/Hazop Coordinator and the Production Teams.
Your responsibilities include:
· Carrying out relief and blowdown studies for all of the Rozenburg Plants, as required by modifications and/or projects
· Undertaking and checking Layer of Protection Analysis (LoPA) calculations
· Collating and transferring data to external consultants to facilitate the modelling required for Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
· Proposing, scoping and assisting in the implementation of modifications that are identified as improvements by any of the 3 items above
Gestelde eisen
· a bachelor or academic degree in chemical engineering
· relevant work experience, either in a comparable production environment or within an engineering office, working on process design of hazardous plants
· knowledge of chemical processes and of relevant process safety techniques, including pressure relief, LoPA and QRA
· the following competencies: you are a sound analytical thinker, are driven by getting valuable results, you are customer focused; you take initiative and possess personal conviction/ integrity that enables you to implement the required safety standards
Language skills:
· excellent command of English
· good command of Dutch or the drive to achieve this level within 6 months

Je gaat o.a. werken aan kranen vanaf 7 ton en overig mobiel transport. Kennis van 24 volt is een must. Het werk is voor 80%, 90% buiten. De werkzaamheden bestaan aan onderhoud, storingen oplossen en reparatie. Bovendien mag je geen hoogtevrees hebben, je werkt ook op maximaal 11 meter in een hoogwerker!

Je werkt aan kleppen, instrumentatie, tubing en je bent bekend met EX omgeving (compex cursus bijv). Je bouwt installaties op en regelt ze in. Zonodig schrijf je regelsoftware. Je verricht ook onderhoud en je lost storingen op. Je bent nauw betrokken bij het inbedrijfstellen van installaties. Het is een boeiende werkomgeving, waarbinnen je een belangrijke rol krijgt. Je weet wat het is om in een hecht team te werken en samen de klus te klaren.
